How to get metal peace

Are you feeling depressed lately and wondering how to improve your mood? Are you in the midst of getting over a significant loss in your life and wondering how to keep your mind healthy as you grieve? Are you interested in how you can maintain a healthy mind to keep your body healthy?

Mental health is a complex subject-- it's hard to define and difficult to grasp all of the different aspects of mental health. Still, however, there are simple steps that you can take in your life to keep your mind healthy.

Check out these practical tips for maintaining a healthy mind! Employ just a few of these ideas and you'll likely feel the difference in your mental health.

1) Make sure you’re getting enough rest. Sleep is the body’s way of recharging, meaning that sleep doesn’t only increase your energy—it actually boosts your mental health.

2) Feel what you feel! Don't worry about controlling or changing your feelings. For now, focus on expressing the feelings that you have rather than trying to feel a certain way.

3) Forgive yourself for past mistakes. Messing up is a part of life, and mental health requires understanding that and moving past mistakes in our lives. Is there a mistake or regret that eats at you? Let. It. Go.

4) Throw a mini-party for yourself! Celebrate a recent accomplishment in your life by patting yourself on the back and rewarding yourself with a small gift you've been looking forward to. It's important to acknowledge successes-- not just failures.

5) Find a good support system. Whether family, friends, a church, or something else, find a group of people who are willing to love you for who you are. This boosts resilience and helps to provide perspective in the midst of stress and pain.

6) Eat healthy. Invest time in learning which kinds of foods bring you “up” and which kinds bring you “down.” Committing to a diet can make you feel good about yourself, give you a sense of self-improvement, and boost your sense of accomplishment.

7) Exercise. Regularly exercising can help to cut back stress in your life, releasing pent up energy as you work your body. Exercise releases endorphins, chemicals in the brain that energize us.

8) Get some sun. Sunlight can lift one’s spirits, boosting mental health and preventing depression.

9) Leave some time for leisure. Make sure you allow time in your schedule for whatever causes you to relax. Maybe it's watching movies or completing crossword puzzles or walking outside. Make time for the things you know relax you.

10) Stay away from drugs and alcohol. When you consume cigarettes, illegal drugs, and alcohol, these drugs tamper with your mental health, decreasing mental stability and giving you “false positive” emotions.

11) Commit to helping others. You can build self-esteem and self-worth by regularly pouring out your energy and talents to help others. Volunteering is another activity that releases endorphins, boosting your mood.

12) Do things that require discipline. Self-control increases self-worth, as you feel like you can control aspects of your life.

13) Learn something new! Part of what makes us human is our tendency to challenge ourselves. Challenge yourself to learn something new-- maybe a new skill, sport, or game.

14) Spend time enjoying art. Studying artwork exercises our minds and encourages us to think creatively. Take some time to visit a gallery or an art show-- you may return with a new perspective on your situation.
15) Find a good listener, and return the favor. Find one person who is willing to listen to you vent and talk freely. It can also relieve stress to form a listening partnership, where the two of you share on a regular basis.

16) Stick to your friends! Do what you can to intentionally keep in touch with a circle of friends. Schedule lunches, dates, or get-togethers with your friends more often. Deep friendships remind us of a sense of belonging.

17) Make the decision not to worry. Worry will consume your mind if you let it, but you can also train yourself to avoid worry, to choose a life without anxiety. Ask God to help you not to worry.

18) Do things that engage your senses. Each day, perform one task that engages each of your senses: sight, touch, smell, sound, and taste. Engaging your senses helps you to live in the moment and focus on the present.

19) Leave time to build and create! Even if it's just LEGOs or a can of Play-doh, it's important to engage our creative sides frequently. When the mind gets into a rut of the same sort of thinking, it gets sick. Keep it well by staying creative.

20) Consider getting a pet. This is a big decision, but having a pet can really help mental health. Pets love us unconditionally, keep us active, and provide us a way to care for something.

21) Leave time for nothing. Make sure your schedule has a little room for free time: time that is unbudgeted. Use that time for meditation, prayer, or relaxation exercises.

22) Cut out late-night TV and computer use. Studies have shown that watching TV and using a computer late at night can cause depressive symptoms.

23) Spend time with people every day. Find people who are like you and who like you. This one seems pretty obvious, but it's easy to forget when you're depressed or down. Interacting with people is likely part of the solution, not the problem.

24) Work to understand what stresses you. Understand your stressors and be able to recognize how you need to react. Be informed about what is happening in your mind and body.

25) Give and receive compliments. Find reasons to praise people, and be willing to accept people's praises of you. This will help you to appreciate the good in those around you and recognize it in yourself.

26) Join a club or social group that meets regularly. This will help to create a community in your life, fueling purpose and camaraderie.

27) Leave time to laugh. Try to laugh hysterically every day. Feed yourself funny things, allowing your mind to decompress from time to time.

28) Accept that there are some things you cannot change. A lot of anxiety stems from trying to change things beyond our control. Recognizing that some things are beyond our control is a key to a healthy, anxiety-free mind.

29) Engage in spirituality on a regular basis. Make sure you're exercising not just your mind and your body but also your spirit. Interact regularly with a spiritual community. Putting faith in God relieves stress on ourselves.

30) Talk to God about where you’re at. Interact with God in prayer on a daily basis and allow God to be a part of your stress-reduction strategy. He’s been doing it for thousands of years—He’s got a little more practice than you do.

Being Straightforward in life? Good or Bad

Straightforwardness is a quality appreciated by many, followed by a few, and understood by even fewer. Well! That was my observation and yours might be different from mine. Still, we will agree that the confusion regarding acceptance and rejection of this human trait is quite huge.

We hope to be straightforward in life. No lie, no bending of facts and no diplomacy. I mean, if the situation doesn’t force, then who will desire to do all that? That’s straightforwardness in one form. The other side is that people relate it with rudeness, arrogance, and several other unpleasant attributes.

The people in favor will appreciate you for being a straightforward man. On the other hand the people who are not in support of your ideas will criticize you for doing so.

Now let us take the expert’s opinion. Chanakya said that “A man must not be too straightforward because the trees standing straight in forest are chopped out first”

Does this means that it’s bad to be straightforward? Well! It depends on the circumstances and a wise man cannot afford to do it the wrong way.

Actually, the straightforwardness is a quality to be admired. Anyhow, when you implement it the wrong way then it becomes a quality to repent. On giving a little thought I was able to conclude it’s applicability. Hopefully you will agree to that.

Social Straightforwardness:
When dealing with a second person, third person, or a group of persons; we must be careful. The simple rule is that you can only act straightforward when in a situation to bargain. When you are the Boss and things are under your control.

If the situation is opposite, speak with lots of sweetness on your tongue. That sounds wicked, but in fact is the simple truth of life. Accept it!

To prevent misinterpretation I would like you to go through the following lines:

Straightforwardness has nothing to do with rudeness, impoliteness, anger, or frustration.
It has definitely to do much with clarity.
Always, think about the consequences and the outcome. It’s not a good idea to invite trouble for the sake of looking bold in front of others.
Personal straightforwardness:
Despite of all that confusion you must be very clear and straightforward  with yourself. I mean your priorities must be crystal clear in your mind. No fog of any sort.

The ideal situation will be where you can answer a question in ‘yes’ or ‘no’. The problem is that in many real-life-situations it won’t be possible to do so. When such situation arises then you will require using the ‘discretion‘.

When you know who you are, what are your priorities, what you desire to accomplish, and how to accomplish; then most of the problems will get solved automatically.

* Be straightforward with yourself and don’t allow yourself to cut corners.

what is life

What is life?

This is definitely one of the hardest questions to answer. We all are breath-taking living beings, but most of us fail to understand life at a spiritual and emotional level. There are many quotes on life by famous personalities and writers; each one expressing a summary of their life-experiences and lessons-Learned.

Still, these are the views of other people. Those theories and ideas are like a hint (not the complete answer) to understand something much important i.e. your own life.

It is 100% indisputable that the circumstances around every individual differ from those of others. This difference can be major or minor on comparing life of two individuals, but surely there exists a difference. In other words, we all are uniquely identifiable beings with a unique set of circumstances. This means that what’s applicable for your neighbor might not be applicable for you and vice-versa.

Thus the conclusion so far is that Life is Unique. Anyhow, this is a well know, unimpressive, and incomplete fact. So what is the correct answer for the Question “What is life?”.

After studying a couple of books, consulting a few people, and hard online research I was able to frame and finalize a theory that delivers the clearest answer to the question mentioned at the top.

Life is a canvas. Yes! Life is a canvas to create a drawing that will be considered final on the doomsday. Now before you stare with skepticism, I will request you to consider following reasons for similarities between them.

(1)

At the time of birth you were provided with a blank sheet with nothing on it. At this stage the canvas is in its purest form. A baby has no business plans and meetings to attend.

(2)

Then the drawing begins. The very first outlines are drawn by the parents or  guardians. This includes the introduction to language, culture, lifestyle, and religion.

The strange as well as interesting part is that it is not you, but others who determine your course of action at initial stage. The actual full control on your painting is acquired in later stages of life. Before that you do as directed and accept whatever is being offered.

(3)

The life process can be expressed as the act of creating or erasing objects on your canvas. Those together determine the quality of your life. At every instance, you bring or remove something good or bad consciously or unconsciously.

How good or bad your painting is to be considered as a reflection of your current life. Throughout life your task will be to make successful or unsuccessful attempt to improve your painting i.e. life.

(4)

Finally comes the last stroke. The drawing will be complete and all efforts will come to an end. It ends with your last breath.

* Hopefully, you got the basic relationship.

Let us have a look on few inferences that will help you to understand life in a better manner.

It is your responsibility to paint it well. You may ask for help or accept the help being offered by others, but the ultimate responsibility resides with you and only you.
You cannot allow others to damage your picture of life. If someone does that then it is the failure on your part.
As you continue with drawing the chances to retreat become fainter and fainter. You can restart, but not always. You only have one sheet, also known as life.
You need creativity and imagination. Despite of using the same paint & paper the one artwork sells for millions of dollars while other goes to the dustbin.
A good life and a good painting both require prior planning. You must know what is to be created and how.
…. And many more that are popping into your mind.
Now, it’s time to know your views regarding this. The comment box is right below.

Who is God and How to find out him

Like I told earlier, God is almighty and a power which is available inside us.

Worshiping an idol is just foolishness and we should see the power , the silence beyond the idol

Like water being poured into a glass, it take place the cylindrical shape, when poured into a bowl, it take the bowl shape and if pure into a tube it take that shape

God has no shape, nobody fan see him and nobody can feel him.

God can only be experienced thro multiple experiences.

And if you observe all those experiences like a river bed, over which water flows

The river bed is experiencing the water flow over it, but never becomes part of the water.

The emotions, imaginations, thoughts of mind are ruling your intellect and you became a slave of these ruling party

Once you independent from this foreign ruling party, you will not be affected from any of sorrows, worries and sadness.

There are 4 stages in life.

1. Vikara Jeevitha

2 Vichithra Jeevitha

3. Viveka Jeevitha

4 Aadharsha Jeevitha

Vikara jeevitha is up to your marriage

Vichithra Jeevitha is after marriage and up to 35 years

Vivek Jeevitha is after 35 years when you starts realizing things

And ,  Aadharsha Jeevitha above 45 years, when you start helping and advising people.

Those who are struck up with vikara and Vichithra Jeevittha till end of their life, they will be suffered with all type of pain in life

The better you jump into 3rd and 4th stage, you will start enjoying the life.

How to Achieve Metal Health and Peace

Today every body is running to temples, holy places, holiday places, and lot of other places to search for peace and mental health.

They may be thinking that peace are kept there, so that they can take it and come back.

But they don't know where the peace is kept

Like a Kasthoori Mrug ( Mrug means - Deer) who keeps the Kasthoori in his Nabhi and searching for the smell without knowing the place it kept, today we are searching for God, peace and happiness.

What is peace what is happiness and what is God

To know this, you have to understand your body first.

Our body is a physical structure with organs and functions.

Because of the organs are functioning properly, we are living.

How the organs are functioning ? Because of 2 things.

1. Air  and  2  Fire

Air means breathing.  Fire means heat of the body.

Once the both are not available, we call the body is dead.

So, can you see the Air and Fire ? No. but we can feel it.  and It is called God

That means , God is inside each of you and you are not bothering to feel it, but running pillar to post to find out him

Our body is consisted of Intelligence, mind, emotions and thoughts.

These are available only when we are awake. But during sleeping time, these are not available except the Intellect. Still we are alive. This power is called LIFE and this is God.

We should try to mingle and capture more and more to this intellect, which is silence, and free from all thoughts, emotions.

If you have a problem , think who is creating the problem ?

Only your Mind. so, Mind is the problem. detach from mind and come to the silence, then you will find peace.

Mind is full of emotions , calculations, imaginations and thoughts. If you allow mind to attach Intellect, you will find all sort of problems, and sorrow.

Aware that silence and intellect is beyond the mind.

To bring this into your life, meditation is essential. Through meditation only, you can detach mind from intellect.

Meditation is nothing but just observing your breath . Whenever you get time, observe the breath.

Assume our mind and all attachments of mind like emotions, thoughts, imaginations , calculations are only just experiences, and you should not allow your intellect to fall and lock into the experiences. Be an observer and see the experiences coming and passing away instead of feeling and involving in it.

Like a Traffic Police man observes the traffic from the Traffic Island and controls it.

If he becomes an experiencer, he can not observe the traffic and he will be a part of the traffic. Ane he loss his value.

More over, we should practice to live in present without carrying the past and expecting the future.

If you can recall the temple, there will be two bars separating the frontage of God's idol

One side for Gents and the other side for Ladies.

Assume Gents side is the PAST and Ladies side is Future.

If you separate past and future like this, then only you can enjoy the present which is the flow of God's grace.
